other high school newpapers

  1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? My favorite newspaper was called eagle view, because I really liked all the stories and spreads that they had.
  2. Which paper immediately grabbed your interest? Why? Eagle view
  3. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? probably the one about music or the Olympics at their school.
  4. How  many stories are on the front page of your favorite?six
  5. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. they all have a main picture in the center, and then stories surrounding it and then the title on the top.
  6. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different spapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. a lot of the designs are different, and fonts.
  7. Were these similar to what you saw last class when you looked at daily newspapers from around the world? they were a little similar, they had certain things alike and some things that weren't the same.

teaser-short item, a headline or photo with caption referring to or promoting a news article.
flag-nameplate of newspaper
folio-sheet of paper folded once to form a book
captions-short explanation for the illustration of the photo
stories-article for a person or a major event in a magazine or newspaper.
bylines-a line in a newspaper naming writer for the article
jumps-identifying the page on or from a newspaper
story dividers-partition between two areas
screens-partition to divide a room, give shelter from drafts.
infographics- visual image used to present information or data
masthead/staff box-title of a newspaper or magazine at the head of the front or editorial page.
