The man was pushed by someone who was harassing him, and couldn't push himself back up.He began using his camera flash to get the trains attention, but couldn't get it in time.
2. Why did the photographer say he took the photo?
He was trying to stop the train
3. Do you think the photographer should have taken the photo?
No i don't think he should have, maybe in some reason yes,but mostly he should of tried to save the mans life more.

6. What is more important to a photojournalist, capturing images of life as it happens or stopping bad things from happening? Why or why not?
I think that stopping bad things from happening is more important than capturing an image, you an capture an image at anytime but you can't always save a life.
7. Do you think it is ever ethically acceptable for a photographer to involve himself/herself in a situation that he or she photographs? Explain why or why not.
Yes if he or she is helping out in the situation, and if they do the right thing.
8. Should photojournalists always avoid influencing events as they happen? Explain your answer
yes, if it is major and very important this yes you need to help them.
9. After reading the responses from the professional photographers, what stands out as the most appropriate response for a photographer to this situation
If you tried your best in this situation and you couldn't  do anything about it at the end, then you know its not your fault.

Rebecca and Rachel are in Hawaii, enjoying the picnic and night out,and watching the sunset go away. This is going to be there last night in Hawaii and enjoying a great best friend trip together.

This is Lee and Annie, they survived a volcano eruption on their wedding day in Japan,2007. The couple were going to get married on the beach, and soon evacuated when it started to occur and almost died from the event.
1. Rule of thirds-having the photo in a certain place and making it the main focus.
2. Balancing Elements- balancing your photos in the center and on the sides.
3. Leading Lines-lines that are in a row.
4. Symmetry and Patterns (repetition)-repeating certain things in the photo.
5. Viewpoint-having your photo views yourself.

8. Framing-having a frame in the photo before the main subject.
9. Cropping-cropping retain things out of the photo.
10. Mergers and avoiding them-certain things that are not supposed to be coming out go people.
You will need to know and understand Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO.                        Aperture-how much light is let in
ISO-sensitive light
Shutter speed-certain time a camera will have light.
You will need to know and be able to explain the ethics of manipulating photos in photoshop and what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.
What is acceptable on photoshop is changing little stuff that doesn't matter or change what you look like, and if it doesn't make difference. What isn't acceptable is changing someones  full body image completely and saying stuff thats all just lies.
You will need to be able to explain the three types of portraits you read about – Environmental, Self and Casual.                                                                       Enviornment-what they do for a living, their job,and what they do everyday.
self-pictires of yourself and only you.
Casual- you doing surf on your free time,or just taking pictures when you're no doing anything.
You will need to be able to explain the photographic terms: Exposure, Depth of Field, and Focal Length. Look those words up again.                                                                                  Exposure-tool to create beautiful narrative photos.
Depth of field-distance between the farther and closest objects.
Focal length-how strongly the system converges or diverges of the light.
You will need to know the four types of magazine covers: Early, Poster, Married to Type and Forest of Words and how to tell the difference.                                                             Magazine covers-
Early-really old magazine covers from back then.

Fashion

List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer.

1. Lifting the eyebrows, define cheekbones and plumped lips, enlarge eyes, lengthen face.
2.Lengthened legs, thinned entire body , highlighted skin, removed stomach fat, lengthened neck, lifted shoulders.
3. They made her legs thinner than before, made her butt a little bit smaller, made her arms a little thin ,  her stomach ver skinny ,made her breasts larger, made  her legs a lot thinner to, make her butt look bigger, they made her waist thinner, made her legs longer than they are, made her head a little smallermade her hair longer, made her hair darker, made her hair fuller than it is.
Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like these in a photo? Why or why not?             4. I don't think its acceptable to change the photos and change someones appearance like that. They are showing lies and i don't think its right because if someone wants to be like that or do the same thing and they find it doesn't work or help then that's a bad things.
Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?5.For modeling about being healthy or maybe for clothes or working out, would make it very wrong.
What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?                                                                                  6.Probably making a girl a little bit skinnier, or making her skin color just a little bit different, and making her look  a little bit prettier, but whats not ok is if she's  kind of fat and making her very skinny, and if she's not that pretty, and turning her into the prettiest girl and making her look better than she really is.
Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.  7.Fashion photography is your own opinion and way you think would be good for people and what people would like, and photo journalism  is taking random pictures and also expressing yourself and turning them into amazing photos.
What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?                                                                                                                                          8. Each one relates to girls beauty and their body, and its affects because their not telling the truth and their trying to persuade to be like them when their really not.
Why do you think I am showing you these three videos?                                                                     9.Shows how crazy the photoshops are really like, and how you should never try to do the same or try to be like them cause you shouldn't.
Why are none of these videos about guys???                                                                                             10.the female population is more obsessive over beauty population and they care more about their figure than guys do.

my favorite cover

Women's Service
Parents, February, Show Your Love!
"Three-year-old Emily Keicher is adorable. She also has spina bifida, and will probably never walk on her own. This is the first time that a child with a disability has been on a Parents cover, and we got a tremendous amount of positive feedback. The special-needs community celebrated the fact that Emily wasn't chosen to illustrate an article about disabilities, but simply because she's a cute kid with a smile as shiny as her walker. Thayer Allyson Gowdy initially photographed Emily for a crafts article in the issue, but our photo director saw those pictures and realized she was cover-worthy."

This is my favorite photo because it caught my eye really well and it also caught my attention because I felt bad for this little girl who won't be able to walk anymore. I liked this photo because she's smiling in this picture which means she's happy and you can see that she is happy with whatever happened with her. What also makes this my favorite photo is that she is her story is very touching and she can put a smile on anyone face and i now that her future will be bright.I love this picture and she is the cutest little girl and she can touch may lives.I like the background and the simplicity and i like the idea of it,

love and loss

1. My emotions as I went through these photos was first kind of joyful and happy and then when the photos got to the end I started becoming very sad and I felt really bad for Angelo.
2.It means that whatever they have or are going through, that's what makes them there self and unique and different from everyone else.
3 I  think I would shoot photos if I was in that situation, I think it would be a cool idea to do that to keep all the memories and what we had.
4. I would tell Angleo that I'm so sorry for what had happened and I think that his pro tires are really good and I think it was really sweet that you took pictures over the time she had cancer.

Africa and Abandoned Theme Parks

Africa
What I saw was all different type of animals and what they are like in their habitat. What I read was that Nick went to Africa to take pictures of these of animals to see how they live, they way they live and what it's like. He  took pictures of all types of animals in the African Wildlife.

This is my favorite photo because I like the background, and I like how the ways it's taken how he angled it to make it look like that. I also like how the picture is black and white, it makes it more unique.
Rules of photography are lines, rule of thirds, simplicity.

He uses a Pentax 6711 with two fixed lenses, it makes his photos look unique and very well taken.
He takes these photos because he believes that the closer he is to rhe animal the better it shows what the animal is like.
His hope to open the viewers eyes about his the animals are being forced out of their habitats.

"The  photos are elegy to these beautiful creatures,to this wrenchingly world that is steadly, tragically vanishing before our eyes."

Abandoned Theme Parks

I would like to visit the Nara Dreamland, Nara, Japan. I would like to visit it because it sais they tried to make it like Disneyland, and I used to love going to Disneyland. I also would like to visit it because all the tied look really cool and they all look like really crazy rides and fun ones. I would also like visit because I think It would be a gray place to take pictures and see what's left of it.

1. Prison 2. Haunted Houses 3. Cemetery 4. Nursing Home 5. Gas Station

I would like to take pictures here because it's different and it's something you never here about. I think it would cool to see what life is like there and what people do everyday. I also would like to take pictures of stuff people haven't seen of or heard about in prison.
All I really need is bravery and confidence to take pictures at Prison. I honestly think I would be terrified taking pictures of prisoners because they would probably really scare me.
